El Salar, the bar of the Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, is a special complement to the hotel’s gastronomic proposal. This bar of high-level cocktails and great cuisine is characterized by its fresh, casual, and fun spirit that transmutes from day to night. To consolidate this dynamism and its contrasting personality, El Salar has recently presented The Dual Experience, with two cocktail and dish pairings that will allow diners to choose their favorite: the day duo or the night duo. These will change month by month to surprise both casual visitors and regular diners.

With an atmosphere marked by music and art, El Salar also represents the encounter between a contemporary Lima and its cultural legacy, which is evidenced by elements such as the decoration – for example, in the mural designed by the urban artist Pesimo, which portrays figures from pre–Hispanic history along with modern symbols-, and the supplies and references of its menu, which allude to the pre-Columbian richness fused with contemporary techniques and flavors.

From day to night

During the day, the atmosphere is relaxed and calm, perfect for a mid-morning meeting or a lunch that benefits from a creative atmosphere. As evening falls, the lights go down, the music intensifies, and the movement becomes more intense. Many nights feature tributes from iconic bands, live DJs, and mystical experiences.

This bar for day and night makes sure to transit different experiences through the perfect combination of flavors. The menu led by Anthony Macedo, executive chef of El Salar and the Maras restaurant of the Westin hotel, as well as the bar by Álvaro Rivadeneira, the new Bar Manager, who comes from the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen, echo the carefree, celebratory and diverse personality of El Salar, and elevate the flavors with a first-class bill.

The Dual Experience proposes cocktail and appetizer combinations, such as the Espresso di Salare accompanied by braced octopus empanadas representing daytime energy, or the Tiki Soul cocktail with Amazonian croquettes, with more nocturnal sensations. This special menu can be found from 17:00 hours until the end of the evening. Other of the most recommended signature cocktails are Tropical, Coco Bong, Mexican Mule, Inka Spritz, and Fiesta, which reveal the cosmopolitan, sophisticated, and highly specialized experience of the bar.
