Amano Museum

The Amano Museum is a pre-Columbian textile museum located in one of Miraflores’ finest and most peaceful neighborhoods. Since its founding in the 1960s, it has been recognized as one of Peru’s leading centers for the exhibition and study of textile art. Today, the museum offers a modern exhibition concept under state-of-the-art conservation and display conditions. Its Chronological Sequence Gallery presents a journey through the origins of textiles around the world, the first raw materials, and the history of textile development in Peru, featuring pieces from the Chavín, Paracas, Nasca, Mochica, Huari, Sihuas, Lambayeque, Chimú, Chancay, Chuquibamba, and Inca cultures.

Contemporary Art Galleries

Vesper Tzu, a casual street-level dining concept, among others, is part of a project led by renowned Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez, whose restaurant Central in Lima is widely regarded as one of the finest in Latin America. MIL is situated at an altitude of over 3,500 meters above sea level in Moray, on the edge of an archaeological complex distinguished by its ancient agricultural terraces, which resemble natural amphitheaters.

Bookstores

Miraflores serves as the setting for many of Peru’s most celebrated literary works. It is no surprise that some of the city’s finest bookstores are found here. Babel is small, welcoming, and well-stocked with books and magazines on art, gastronomy, design, fiction, and non-fiction, all carefully curated.

El Virrey is a literary institution, known not only for its beautiful store located a short walk from the seaside promenade, but also for its extensive catalog, knowledgeable staff, and frequent author talks and book presentations. Pucllana Site Museum

The Pucllana Site Museum is located within the Huaca Pucllana archaeological complex, an ancient landmark rising amid Miraflores’ contemporary urban landscape.The museum houses a collection of cultural artifacts uncovered during archaeological excavations and includes an exhibition hall, a visitor circuit through the archaeological site, and a park featuring native flora and fauna. In addition to supporting scientific research, the museum is responsible for the architectural conservation and enhancement of the archaeological site, while also serving as an educational bridge between the site and the local community.

Peruvian Design

Peruvian fashion, jewelry, home décor, and contemporary handicrafts can be found in carefully curated boutiques.Casa Lerner, located across from Huaca Pucllana, brings together various Peruvian designers in a historic house overlooking the archaeological site. Its rooftop café offers spectacular views. And, Casa SW, founded by renowned designer Susan Wagner, offers a carefully curated collection of brands and designers.
