Carbon Footprint Management
We measure our carbon footprint annually (Scope 1, 2 and 3) to manage greenhouse gas emissions. In 2023, we implemented the Energy Cloud System and switched from LPG to natural gas. We also installed speed variators on escalators to reduce electricity consumption. We have been recognized by the Ministry of Environment for our precise measurements and sustainable efforts.
Solid Waste Mangement
Organic waste, which makes up 70% of waste, emits methane and contributes to climate change. To mitigate this, we have partnered with Sinba at The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, AC Hotel Lima and Aloft Lima Miraflores hotels. The program improves waste management through training and circular economy, recycling of materials, and conversion of organic waste into food and fertiliser.
Water Management
In our hotels Paracas, Luxury Collection Resort, and Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, there are wastewater treatment plants that reuse 100% of the water for garden irrigation. In addition, we raise awareness among our employees on water care in our facilities and in their homes.
