We Are Biosphere Certified!
We are the first and only hotel company in Peru to hold Biosphere Certified status. This recognition validates our sustainable practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and reflects our commitment to the environment, local communities, culture, and the creation of shared value.
Carbon Footprint Management
We measure our carbon footprint annually to identify opportunities for improvement and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The implementation of efficient technologies and the transition to natural gas strengthened our environmental performance. As a result of these efforts, we achieved the fourth level of greenhouse gas management recognized by the Ministry of the Environment.
Solid Waste Management
We promote a circular economy through strategic partnerships for waste recovery and valorization. In 2025, we recovered more than 500 tons of organic waste and recyclable materials across our hotels. This joint effort prevented the emission of more than 700 tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting more than 11,000 trees.
Water Management
We promote the responsible use of water through efficient infrastructure and awareness programs. At our hotels in Paracas and Urubamba, we reuse 100% of treated wastewater for garden irrigation. In addition, we encourage good practices among employees to foster the responsible use of this essential resource.
Responsible Supply Chain
We promote a sustainable supply chain that strengthens local producers and entrepreneurs. We regularly train suppliers from Cusco, Urubamba, and Paracas in responsible sourcing practices. Key initiatives include support for local agriculture, natural products, and artisanal fishing under our “Km 0” concept.
Protecting Biodiversity
We contribute to the conservation of ecosystems and native species in the destinations where we operate. At Tambo del Inka, we protect Andean flora through a native forest, an orchid garden, and an organic bio-garden. In Paracas, we preserve extensive green areas that support biodiversity and contribute to climate change mitigation.
Environmental Management Instruments
We were among the first companies in the sector to implement environmental management instruments approved by MINCETUR. These mechanisms allow us to identify, prevent, and mitigate the impacts associated with our operations. Through this approach, we continue to strengthen responsible operations in harmony with the sustainable development of each destination.
